Icon14 Review - Kikskin Kompetitor

*Disclaimer* I have not done many reviews so please, be gentle. Also I was lucky enough to get a split order for an A4 top and A3 pants, so my "perfect fit" story may not be for everyone.

About me - I am about 5ft 8inch and around 200 poounds.

To the review - The top is amazing, it fit perfectly out of the box. It has not had to touch the dryer for sizing at all. It is a gold weave, that seems pretty breathable in comparison to my Atama Mundial 7. The collar is soft yet firm. The skirt on the top (compared to the previously mentioned Atama of same size) is about 3 - 4 inches shorter, which I personally like. There are a few small patches on the sleeves, and a small patch near the neckline on the back that says Scott K., and a lapel patch. No giant patches on the back. All and all I give the top a 10 of 10.

Pants - just as the top, they are amazing. They have a rope cord tie, with 3 loops, so it has a very nice enclosure syste. There is a small oval shaped patch on the front left leg at the bottom, and the back right leg at the bottom. The reinforced padding starts around the crotch area and goes all the way down. These pants feel darn near bulletproof and fit very well. Out of the box they were about 2 inches too long, so 25 min or so in the dryer fixed that up and now they are perfect. They are not baggy at all like my Atama pants, and they are also more fitting in the legs so it tends to be harder for people to get a good grip on my pants (I also have pretty thick legs). All and all I give the pants a 10 of 10.

Customer service is top notch as well. The lady there was very helpfull and tried to get me the split order. They are very vocal about if you do not feel the fit is correct that they will do everything they can to get you a new kimono out and get everything taken care of. From order point to arriving at my door was about 2 weeks, and I had to wait a little while for the split to become available, so I imagine if someone were to order a normal size it would be around 10 days tops. I highly recommend this place and I plan on doing business with them again. If there are any questions that anyone has about the gi please feel free to ask, I do not have pictures right now but if someone really needs to see some different views than the site offers let me know and I will try to get some up in a timely fashion.

Actually I thought you did a pretty good job with this reveiw. you covered fit and function as well as materials and construction. You even went over the ordering process however I missed where you ordered from. Was it direct from Kikskin or a distrubitor.

Were there any negitives at all that yuo've noticed?

Sorry, item was ordered from the kikskins website (i believe its kikskinmma.com), and no I have yet to find a negative about the gi. Only thing I can think of is if someone does not like the shorter skirts.
