I got these and really dig up - a few nice subtle improvements over the old clinch gears that I've been wearing for over a year now and are still holding up good (though the white panels have become a bit grey).

I've actually been seeing a lot of fighters rocking the new clinch gears. Wonder how sales well be now that big Dan is being introduced to the mainstream crowd.

judging from the 'where can I get quinton jackson's shorts' in the 2 weeks post win, it can only do good things for Clinch Gear for Dan to be seen, and even bigger if he beats Quinton.

So for someone who wears 32 ia most shorts (Sprawls and HCKs fit like a glove, NOGIs require a bit of tightening with the drawstring) would you recommend going a size down (30) then?

I think Clinch Gear sizes up an inch. So a 30 would fit like a 31 and a 32 would fight like a 33. I guess it just depends if you like your shorts a little tight or a little loose.

From my experience with CG's, they fit a bit big...I'm a natural 37 or so, so I always order 38 just to be safe and the CG's are VERY roomy in the waist and hips...not enough of a problem where they'll fall down to my ass or anything, though...

The original Clinch Gear shorts were actually 1.5" larger than true size--we brought it back to 1" over true size.

Foz, thanks for the review--well done! I can say that we listen to your feedback on this forum and welcome constructive criticism.

Finally, please know that if any of our customers has a problem with our short--fit, stitching, anything--just e-mail me at customerservice @ clinchgear.com and I'll take care of it.

I wear a size 32 as well - and the last generation of Clinch Gear's were a bit large - but the new ones fit PERFECT. So I would NOT order a size down - they seem quite accurate now.

great review. IMO Im glad more companies are going pocketless (external) just b'c when rolling no gi or sparring....I have seen and had my toes caught in them. Internal for mouth guards are key tho.

Overall awesome review Fozz

This review was one big reason I decided to order a pair of hendo's to roll in. Maybe I'll post another review when I get mine. Thanks Foz.

they're good shorts, i'll definetely have to pick up more when they get a drawstring. They rival HCK in lightness and I always loved my HCK's.
