Review of 16 ounce Twins Specials

Purchased from muaythaistuff.com

After shipping gloves came out to 61 dollars, shipping was quick and arrived in right around 7 days.

Quick review on gloves-Tight hand compartment, wrist support is not as good as I would have liked however when I tried fairtex on I had the same complaint, actually the fairtex had even less, but I also have toothpick wrist, Padding is awesome.

My favorite part of the glove-Hand Compartment, padding.

Hand Compartment-My hands are not that big and these are tight on me if I have wraps on, I could see that being a problem if you have Larger hands, but for me it's perfect.

Padding-I hate hurting my sparring partners nothing makes me feel like a bigger POS then when I rock someone or drop someone in sparring it got to the point I began pulling punches, so soft padding in the knuckle area I knew was a must for me. These gloves to not dissapoint, I have no problem letting my hands go when I am wearing these, they are like giant pillows and since mine are white more like giant marshmallows.

Miscellaneous-Really like the grip bar, like the feel of the glove on my hand, excited to use them and see how they hold up, I will come back after a few months of use and re-evaluate this review.

Overall-Very nizzze gypsy

I was going to get them before I saw Kings! They have a better wrist support imo with the velcro closure

Yea I have been checking out the Kings since I got these, the thing that brought me back to the Twins was solely the padding, however you should review the kings and let me know how the padding is, I think the red kings look so so sick, wouldn't mind getting a pair some time down the road.

King has the best wrist support
twins has the best padding and the snuggest fit
fairtex is the most compact.

the pading is great! it's a snug fit like the twins as well which i was looking for. These boxing gloves i had were a couple of inches too wide and the kings fit great....padding is nice and distributed.....i only use them for sparring, used them on the bags/mitts twice

Stu,

Who did you get your gloves through? What was total cost if you don't mind my asking? I have been thinking about getting these for quite some time but just can't seem to pull the trigger. How long have you had them and how much use do they get?

i have those gloves as well, they feel amazingly light on my hands, and considering i'm 134lbs so it's a big plus to train with.

I bought the exact same gloves (16, white) from the exact same place and I basically agree with the TS. I have big hands but the hand compartment is not too small for me.

As for wrist support - this is a Muay Thai gloves thing. Because you need to be able to bend your wrists quite a bit in MT the wrist support suffers. My Fairtex Safety gloves are even worse and the same goes for my old SSF MT gloves. Boxing gloves provide a whole other class of support.

Anyway, these are very soft, so I feel pretty good hitting people in the face with them.

Did your gloves stink like a farm when you got them too? It's been a few weeks for me, but the smell of animal is still there :-D

For those asking about Kings: this is one of the cheaper places to buy them.
