I was thinking of ordering some koral shorts myself, and i usually hear nothing but good things about them. I wonder, if you had gotten a larger size for these trunks would you have looked at them differently grade wise ?
Do all koral shorts have these porblems or is it just the custom ones ?

Great pics.
I think a larger size would make them more comfortable but I still think you would get the skin irritation from the crappy velcro. Don't get me wrong, these shorts are tough as hell. But the materials and overall attention to comfort is not that high. Like I said they are really nice for muay thai. The problem is for the price what you get is not up to par when compared to other brands like Sprawl, Triumph or Clinch Gear. Most Koral shorts will run you close to $50. Spend the money on Clinch Gear, Sprawl or Triumph instead.

I hate that canvas rip-stop material that Koral and I believe Venum uses.

Those Fairtex gloves appear to be the "Tight Fit" training gloves. If so, how tight is the hand compartment?

Also, how would you compare those Fairtex/Windy wraps with similar 180" Mexican wraps from a company like Ringside (Ultimate Classic, Top Contender, etc)

Thanks

The Fairtex gloves are not tight in the hand compartment. I can slide my hands in with hand wraps on without and problem. I actually thought the hand compartment was going to be too big but it is pretty much spot on. I can get my hands in easily and my hands don't budge while using them.

I have actually only used everlast mexican style hand wraps. Compared to those these have a much nicer feel to them. They seem to mold to the hand a little better as well. It isn't a huge difference or anything but noticeable non the less.

Great review! Based on what you've written, I'm convinced that shorts and their fit is really a PERSONAL opinion!

I got my Clinch gear plaids a few months ago and I hated them with a passion. I didn't like the closure system and the material was so light that I felt as if I were wearing nothing(which I understand a lot of people are looking for.) Aaron let me send them back. I bought some Koral shorts from RDFC and I absolutely LOVE them. The material is strong and the fit on me was great.

To each his own I guess but thanks for the write up!

first ever complaint I have ever heard about clinch gear. I love how light they are, I don't get why shorts being so light you forget they are there is a bad thing lol. And the closure system is phenomenal. But as you said to each their own. I wear my Koral's as a last resort and my clinch's are my first choice, you are the exact opposite. That is strange

I think the closure system on the CGs are hit or miss. The Koral's, with the drawstring, just give me a better fit when I'm in between sizes.
