Marcelo Garcia Signature Edition Lucky Gi **tons of pics**

ill start off by saying i was very hesitant at first to buy this gi for a couple reasons..1 i had just bought the blue lucky and 239 was kinda steep to shell out for another gi and 2 the huge marcelo garcia logo on the back...lucky for me onthemat sent me a coupon code in the email for 20% off anything for fathers day so i jumped at the chance to use it i also figured hey the logo on the back is in the exact spot where my school and association patch will go anyway so i said fu*k it and made the purchase. along with my buddy who i ordered a a4 otm single weave in black(which he is VERY happy with btw) we both saved a good amount of money and i think in the end i payed 206$ for the gi after shipping..

on to the review...

I LOVE THIS GI!! this is hands down the best fitting gi i have ever worn by that i mean it feels like he had this thing tailor fit just for me..the man is a genius..im 5'9" 174 lbs and i ordered an a2 and it fits perfectly right out of the bag..no bagginess in the armpits, sleeves, shoulders, crotch, or pant legs.. and i will go on record as saying the skirt on this gi is the most perfect skirt on a gi EVER..lol
it is a light weight pearl weave similar to a gameness pearl or the top half of an atama single weave..id say over all the gi maybe weighs 4.5lbs..a tad heavier than my koral lightweight but better fitting..

*note* i of course gave it the initial was w/ a cup of white vinigar and washed on cold w/ hang dry..

this is a preliminary review as i have only got to roll in the gi once..but man did we ever throw this thing to the wolves..i did a three hour training session where 1st hour.5 we did flow drills and technique(gi felt great throughout) and the 2nd hour.5 was sparring with our heavyweight jake who weighs 230 and has an iron grip..he literally tried ripping this thing to see what damage he could do and unfortunately for him his grips gave up before the gi did, he commented by saying it was very hard to control my sleeves or the collar because it was thin, in total we did 6 6 min rds starting from our feet(the gi felt awesome throughout all the rds.)..my only gripe was how easy it picked up the dirt and dinginess from the mats but i guess that can be expected since its a white gi..even after washing it stayed kinda dingy..im gunna hit it with some oxyclean next wash..

this will hands down be my go to gi for competition and in the end regardless of what happens with it im happy with my purchase because of the fact that it is a marcelo garcia gi, its like the jordans of gis..marcelo is the sole inspiration that got me into gi jiu jitsu so purchasing this and wearing it in competition is kinda like my ode to him..lol

on to some pics: (they will be in the next posts)
(anyone that wants any specific measurements dont hesitate to ask)

I'm 5'9" also, but I am 200 lbs....would you recommend going up to an A3? or are the pants big enough to accomodate the extra weight?
