I went ahead and bought this item and thought I'd share my opinion. See the item's description in the following link.

First of all, online merchants are selling this for $399.99 + $99 shipping. The regular price at Big 5 is $299. It wasn't in stock so it took about a week and a half to arrive at the store. I needed a pickup truck to take it home since it won't fit in a car or most SUVs.
Assembly and Setup: 2 out of 10
It's not rocket science to assemble this thing, and a few hand tools are needed. The instructions were abysmal, and that's being generous. Written in 5th grade level literary skills (complete with spelling and grammar errors), the parts labels didn't correspond with the instructions, and the instructions interchanged metric and SAE measurements. Very annoying when you have a bunch of different sized nuts, bolts, washers, and other parts that are all mislabeled. Once you've finally got it all sorted out, it's fairly straightforward. I actually had a few nuts, bolts, and washers left over afterwards, and I'm positive I didn't leave anything off. With all the documentation errors I'm not surprised about having the wrong number of parts.
Quality: 7 out of 10
I am basing the quality on about 2 hours of use, so this score could very well change. Seems sturdy enough for moderate indoor use with a 100lb bag. It claims to hold a 150lb bag but I think that's pushing it. It shakes a bit when beating on the heavy bag, but at least the stand doesn't slide around on the floor. It's supposedly built for outdoor use, although I'm not too sure it will hold up to the elements over time. The speed bag platform is plastic, and about an inch thick. I placed sand bags on top of the platform to make it sturdier.
Utility: 8 out of 10
Unfortunately for me and many, this stand is too short to hold a 6ft bag. A 5ft bag would be the max. A good thing is that the stand is not in the way of low kicks, as other stands are. Unless you're kicking above ankle level, you will hit the base. Because the stand shakes quite a bit when beating on the heavy bag, two people using the speedbag and heavy bag at the same time is out of the question. The built in wheel assembly makes it easy to move. This is a great feature.
Overall: 8 out of 10
This stand isn't cheap, and as you know, you're paying a premium for the Everlast name. Don't pay more than $299 for it. For frequent heavy use, you might want to spend a little more on something better. For moderate use, it seems to fit the bill. The ability to do low kicks without danger of kicking the stand, and the ability to move it easily are the advantages between this stand and the cheaper stands. Now I'm off to back my car out of the garage, roll this stand to the middle of my garage, and punch and kick away.
