Krugans Tribal Kimono Review

Just got a Krugans Tribal Kimono from my wife for my birthday. I'll post some photos and a basic review now, and after I roll in it I'll follow up with more info. This is my first gi review, so If i miss anything or if there is anymore information anyone would like, feel free to let me know.

First for some photos

Top:

sleeve thickness (as compared to my Keiko Limited 09)

Collar Thickness (compared to same Keiko)

Armpit reinforcements

Skirt Reinforcements

First impressions:

Out of the bag the fit was great. I am 5'10" and weigh 168lbs and my wife ordered an A2. The pants come right to my ankles and the sleeves right to the middle of my wrists. The jacket fits perfectly and I'm glad i wont have to try to shrink it at all. My Keiko A2 fit about the same out of the bag except that it was slightly tighter in the jacket and a tad shorter in both the legs and arms. The collar is about the same thickness as my keiko but way thinner than my gameness single weave. The weave on the jacket is pretty rough, but I like that. The jacket seems pretty thin, which is something that I like because I tend to sweat. It seems thin but really strong. After I locked in the color with a soak in my bath tub with some vinegar, I washed it in cold water and hung it to dry. I was suprised that it dried in about 24 hours. way quicker than any of my other gi's. THe pants feel great. If anyone owns a Keiko, they feel about the same and I love my Keiko pants. The only thing that I didn't like about the pants was that they flare out a little at the bottoms. They aren't cut straight leg, almost like boot cut jeans. As soon as I roll in it, I'll add more to the review. If there are any questions or any more info that you want please feel free to ask

I have one as well that I got a while back. It's my favorite gi, fit wise. Comfortable and the only downside is that the pants ripped on the inside of the knee, but that's probobly just a fluke. Otherwise, sweet gi.

As far as fit and feel go this gi has quickly become my second favorite gi, I really like my keiko raca limited edition though

Rolled in the gi tonight and it was great. Sweated less in this gi than any gi that I own. One of my rolling partners said it sucked to grip the gi because the weave was rough and gave him brush burns on his finger tips, lol. So it's got that going for it. Overall I rate this gi a B+ or an A.

Can someone please explain the difference between Krugans tribal, viking and gladiator models?

I think the viking is a lighter weight model. I wasn't a big fan of the look of that gi as opposed to the tribal. As far as the gladiator is concerned, I have no idea
