King Professional shinguards

I decided to buy these shinguards since they seemed to offer the best degree of protection for the foot and the kneecap.
When you start to wear them they seem to be somewhat too long on the foot (I'm 6' tall and the L site covers almost completely my foot) but you get accustomed to that.
The protection is great: sometimes I would have even preferred they were a little less padded to feel the kicks a little bit more when checking. Conversely, they are sparring partner friendly!
The only thing I noticed when sparring is that unless you tie the straps quite tight they tend to move a little bit: but I think that's common with any shinguard tough.
The elastic bands on the ankle and the foot help in keeping them always correctly in place.
After 7 months of use they do not present signs of wear.

They look awesome. And I like the raised front. Nothing sucks more than knee-to-knee collisions.

Well, maybe knee-to-balls, but ya.

I'd love to see a head-to-head review of the King shinguards and the new Top King shinguards.

I just ordered a virtually identical pair of Top Kings (black with red trim). The design looks pretty much the same though I'm sure there are variations.

I'll post a review when I get them and have an opportunity to try them out.
