One of my students ordered a navy blue one in A3 and he should have it early next week. I will try it on and let all know how it fits (6 2 190)

The full review is up.
KhaledA:
Those measurements were taken the other day. I unfortunately didn't measure the gi after opening it. From memory I'd say the gi was about two inches longer.
I'm not exactly sure why an A3 fits me. I might not have the exact body type that the gi is aiming for--it is targeting thin builds... Maybe at 5'11 and 165 I'm not that thin. I also have pretty long arms--when buying cloths I usually have to go a size up for shirts to reach my wrists. In combination that may be why the sizing chart doesn't work for me. I'd say that PROBABLY an A2 is going to be a better fit for you. I mean, I'm only about 10 lbs under the what the chart says I should be and I have long arms. If you're 145, that's a full 30 lbs under what the A3 should fit.
As far as comparison to other gis... I've worn a total of five other gis: an Atama Mundial 5 (A3), Atama Summer (A3), Koral Classic (A2), Fushida Tournament (size 4.5--judo cut) and Ki International (size 5--judo cut). The sleeve length is slightly shorter than my Mundial 5 (post-shrink), although the arms are much baggier. The collar is similar, although slightly stiffer and crosses lower on the Keiko. Both Atama jackets were baggier in the chest. The fabric feels closest in texture, durability, and weight to the Koral Classic, although softer after being washed (as I mentioned in the full review, the Korals are extremely stiff after hang drying). The Koral A2 jacket was about as tight as the Keiko, although not as long, nor did the lapel wrap around as tightly (I think the Koral is geared more for stocky builds). The Fushida is probably the closest in fit, although a bit baggier (especially in the torso) due it being a judo gi.

Yeah I see...I'm only worried about my arms because they're pretty long for my size too @ 22" from armpit to wrist.

Not sure if we're measuring exactly the same, but I came up with 21" from armpit to wrist. If I measure from my neck/spine, over my shoulder, and down the outside of my arm, to my wrist bone I come up with 34.5 inches (kinda hard to measure by myself though). The other way I measure it is by extending my arms out infront, measuring from one wrist, along my arm, around my back, along the outside of the other arm, and to the other wrist. That way I come up with about 68 inches.
If they help my other measurements are: 38 inch chest (exhaled) and 33 inch waist.

Slomaro:
Just to clarify, did you wash in hot water/dry on hot to shrink, or did you wash in cold and air dry?

I'm 6'2", 185, 78" reach and my A3 fit perfect for the first month but regular washing (cold water, hang dry) brought it down an inch and a half and now it's barely legal (if at all). You might want to get an A4 ad shrink the hell out of it. If you like the sleeves a bit on the short side, A3 should work.

So confused! Some say they shrink in cold, some wash in hot and dry with little or no shrinkage.
For my body type I have heard everything from A2 to A4!
Like I said my student will have his A3 any day and I will try it on and report.
And for a "slim fitting" gi..Big Boy in the red looks pretty roomy in there LOL
