I was thinking of picking this up as a winter jacket but was told by a rep at Hayabusa that this is definitely not a winter jacket. So I guess I'll pass on this.

Nice jacket, but too rich for my blood. Looking forward to your review though.

Well, one good thing about it being "big and loose" is that you can use it in the "winter" with some extra clothes under I usually have an extra layer under neath anyways since it's a bit cold up here in the North... (though for blizzard Winter it's not suited... more like going to and from the car )

Got this currently in the post. Have ordered a large. I'm 6'3, 200lbs, broad shouldered, will let you know how it fits, quality and hopefully be able to post some detailed pictures and show how the fit is on me, keep you posted!

Well folks, my Uwagi arrived today, and guess what, it's rather big! I really would have to wear several layers underneath to bulk it out and that would likely make me look daft.
As I'm not too fussed about using the hood as I wear beanies so I'm going to pop to the place I ordered it from tomorrow (luckily this weekend I'm up that neck of the woods) and try on a medium, which I feel will fit a lot better, and likely just do a straight swap.
Initial thoughts, the quality is amazing, you really can tell why it costs so much, Hayabusa do make some really good kit. It is quite weighty but that's to be expected from gi material, bit like wearing my kendo gi.
So, really looking forward to tomorrow and fingers crossed the medium size will fit nicely so I can wear it to the pub tomorrow night and show it off :-)
Once that's sorted I'll post some detailed pics and a more in depth review

Hey folks.
Well, swapped my large uwagi for a medium and it's a great fit!
Even tried on a small and that was quite snug but not oversized. Medium is perfect though.
As have stated the quakity is superb. Wore it out in typical english rain and cold tonight, not exactly water proof but kept me dry and warm, the lined hood is very good for keeping the rain off.
Had many comments on it, definately stands out.
Took the elastic things out of the cuffs, will never use them and they didn't serve much purpose.
Really good jacket, gi material is great and feels good. I'd recommend getting a smaller size than whatever you usually go for as they are definately big fit. Spoke to the guys at mma-factory and they said it quite strange as the gloves and other Hayabusa products are usually a little on the small side.
I'd really recommend this item to anyone who fancies a change in their usual hoodie/hooded top and they won't regret it.
I'll try and post some pics very soon but take my word for it, this is a great top and must be up there with the highest quality hoodies from any mma make.
Hope this helps.
