i'm going to bring this thread back to life. in regards to these being bulky, have you had the chance to compare them to any other gloves (csi, ouano, fairtex)?

every time i think i'm set on the glove i'm going to buy i read something that makes me 2nd guess. i was set on the fairtex ultimate combats then i read a thread that said the open palm gloves can be a problem because your opponent can get their hand in the gap between the glove and your hand. i thought these looked really good and the y-design interests me.

Well these gloves are bulky but, maybe cause I've never owned any MMA C.S.I gloves or Fairtex. But, these are 4oz and the Ouano UFC gloves are the same 4oz. The UFC gloves look small and thin in the pictures. But, I'm guessing they look bigger in real life. Same goes with the Hayabusa's

Not really... the first time I saw the Ouano UFC gloves I thought "wow, those are tiny!" I still think that in the back of my head every time I see mine.

You shouldn't use MMA gloves for bag work. Use bag gloves.

They SHOULD NOT BE used for bag work. Always use the most supportive and protective glove for bag work. Always always always. ALWAYS.

He's right. Bag gloves aren't just called that because you sling them in your gear bag. I use 14 ozs for hard workouts and regular bag gloves for light workouts. Rolling my wrists/getting shooting pains down my hands is not fun.

Thx guys ...Now I know that I should use the MMA gloves for grappling/light sparring. I find it funny when beginners come in hitting the heavybags with thier fists and later, show me their ripped skin ...-_-. Gonna have to tell all the new years resolution guys to stop hitting it with full force.
