Hayabusa Bag Gloves

I purchased these Hayabusa Bag Gloves from Budovideos and got them delivered from UPS last week. I used them Friday in my home gym and I used them yesterday in my Muay Thai class which is an hour an a half long. So far I've put about two hours in on these gloves and like them alot. The look is very nice. They look just as good as seeing them online and maybe a little better in person. These gloves are 10 oz. so they don't have alot of padding especially compared to my IMF's, which are 14 oz., but they do have enough padding to still be comfortable. They have great wrist support and IMO a better wrist support system than my Rival's. These gloves seem like they are made of great quality so I'm looking forward to putting them through many hours of abuse. I paid $84.99 + shipping for them from Budovideos. So far I think I'm going to rate these gloves my favorite bag gloves so far. I have these Hayabusa 10 oz., Rival 12 oz., Rival 14 oz., IMF Tech 14 oz., Ultimate Classic 16 oz., and Ringside weighted gloves that are 16 oz.-4.6 lbs. The only downfall is that they seem a little snug without handwraps so by the time you put handwraps on it might be a problem for a bigger guy. I'm 5'10" 170lbs.

I'm pretty sure those are just 10oz versions of their training gloves, if they they are then they'll loosen up after you break them in and they'll fit perfectly.

Nice review. I was going to ask which model Rival bag gloves you have, but the photo cleared that up. Both, huh? How do you like the Rival Elites, and can you elaborate on why you like the wrist support of the Hayabusa's better than the Rivals? And which Rival, are you comparing the wrist support to, the Ultras or Elites? Thanks.

The Rival Elites are good gloves as far as quality padding, fit , and looks but I don't really care for the velcro wrist straps on them. At first I didn't really know what to think about them but once I used them a good amount of times I just don't like it. Instead of the support wrapping around the wrist of the glove (like the Hayabusas), they go at an angle across the back of the glove. It seems like its a little harder to get the glove tightened to where you want it. Its alot easier with gloves like the Hayabusas to wrap the leather strap around your wrist.

^ Hey, thanks. That is really helpful information. I was wondering how effective that diagonal hook and loop design was, and now I know. BTW, super nice collection of gloves.

Just a quick question regarding the hayabusa closure system. When you have one glove on how easy is it to get the second glove on good and tight?

It's actually not bad. It's about the same as the IMF's. I've never had a problem not having the gloves on tight enough. It's alot easier with the Hayabusa/IMF closure than the Rival Elite closure that goes at an angle. Hope this helps.

Cool thank you. I thought it would be quite difficult when no fingers to put the dual closure system on well enough on the second hand. Guess not which is great

Also off topic but are the glove dogs good for keep the gloves dry and smelling fresh?

Yeah the glove dogs work great. I have glove dogs in every pair of my gloves and they seem to work pretty good. My gloves have always been dry the next time I wanted to use them. You're the first to ever comment on the glove dogs in the pics....
