Strange as those are my favorite grappling shorts. I'm a 33 or so and wear the 34 and they fit just fine. I actually prefer them over my sprawls because they fit and look better IMO. The sprawls are nice but they just look too... sporty I guess. The FT are more fasionable. But besides that they are very light and comfortable. I prefer that they don't have a drawstring to get in the way and the neoprene wasteband is more comfortable than that elastic stuff that goes all they way around the sprawls.

I actually like the fabric a lot. Light yet very durable, and it dries extremely quickly. DropBows and amphivious have made some good points about the closure system/waist, but mine fit me perfectly, and I like them a lot. The shorts are not that adjustable.

The only real complaint I have is that they are a bit on the long side. I prefer slightly shorter shorts.

I like the material a lot. The plaids literally feel like cotton and it dries really fast. I have long legs so the length doesn't bother me. I think that's one thing I don't like about the sprawls. They look like Daisy dukes on me.
