The shin protection isn't as good as the CSIs though.

I'm thinking the ideal solution is probably to have laces to tighten them and then a cover similar to on wrestling shoes.

I have the sig2's. I owned the sig 1s for a few weeks, and I think they were wroth the exchange for sure. Easy on, easy off, stay on you while grappling, they dont get in the way.

I use TWINS SPECIAL for Muay Thai, so far no one at my gym has had a problem with them falling apart and they offer great protection for what I do.

I've heard mixed opinions about the Throwdown version.

I have the same ones in Red. Had tyhem for over a year and they still look brand new. No rips or tears or discoloration.

They are a bitch to take off but I have learned to push them down (from the top) rather than pull them off.

Main reason I love these is because you dont scratch the hell out of your sparring partners when the fight hits the ground.
