CSI (and Ringside) Trainer's Vest

This thing is a fucking beast.

We finally got around to trying this thing out today, and it is awesome. Fitting it can be annoying, because if it isn't snug up against you, it fucking hurts when you get hit. But once you have it on good and proper, you don't feel jack shit.

Spent about an hour with it on working drill with focus mits, jab cross livershot body shot type shit, mixing in thai kicks and knees. Hardly felt a thing. It absorbs at leats 80% of anything you can throw at it.

I get the feeling we'll be doing less bag rounds, and more rounds with the vest. It adds a whole new dimension to striking training, being able to throw full power shots while still moving around. Doing wall work, being able to practice your short power hooks AT FULL POWER, but with your training partner still there to smack you, reminding you to guard yourself and shit.

FUck me, I love this thing. My new favorite toy.

And yes, I've used the windy belly pad before too. I like this one better. It feels just and sturdy, and I feel less of the shots.

Five stars, two thumbs up, and an ice cold Kentucky Ale for whoever designed this thing.

They are super nice, the best mitts that I have ever used. They stay on just fine, even without straps.

Unless you were planning on standing in line for 24 hours you'd probably have to wait until January anyway.

I have one of these as well and really like it... the fit is awkward and doesn't really get better until you break it in a little bit. I'm using it with a small group of girls, none of whom have any experience so I haven't tested out exactly how much damage I can take while wearing it. It's very inexpensive, which is another big plus.

Highly recommended.
