Black-Eagle MKII Predator Gi Review

Hey everyone, I just got done doing my write up over the Black-Eagle Predator MKII gi. I received this gi from Black-Eagle which is based over in the UK. Check it out and let me know what you think. I hope it helps shed some light on a different gi that some of you may not be familiar with.

good review, although I'd question the thinking that cord drawstrings are more durable. I have 3 pairs of pants with them, all from different companies, 2/3 have "exploded" in the dryer.

My biggest complaint about the gi is the red on blue. I'm not a fan. I've heard they're making a black and gold version though, that should look pretty good.

I can see that. I have only had one cord "explode" on me but I am pretty sure the company will replace it. Other than that I have had much better luck and experience with the rope drawstring than the cotton string. It is nice to have the rope, especially if you have to use the restroom or something during or right after class. Those damn cotton strings would always get stuck and it would take me forever to get them undone.

Also I do agree about the color. I am hoping the black and gold will be out soon as it will be the best one for sure!

I'm definitely a rope fan over flat drawstrings. The best colour combo on the Black Eagles is basic black lettering over white gi imo. Shame the gi did not fit you properly. When I reviewed it, the A2 was so big I could not wear it...waiting for an A1.

Yes I wish it would have fit right. I was told that they have never heard anyone really complain about the size before. But like I say in my review. I am 5'8 about 170-175... so at the top of the A2 size chart that they supply and the A2 was way too big for me as well. I think the A1 would have fit better, but regardless of the sizing issue it did not detour me from still thinking the gi is a great gi especially for the price range its in.
