What I'm saying is the gi hasn't shrunk since I've bought it. This is the second preshrunk gi I've bought and washing them in cold water and hang drying them doesn't shrink them at all. Maybe washing them in hot water and/or drying them in a dryer shrinks them.
Yeah, I've got long arms, long legs, and pretty wide shoulders but I've got pretty skinny arms and legs. It works great for me, wish I would have started the sport sooner. I actually think I could fight at 185 pretty easily. I'm 202 right now with some good remnants of my beer belly still holding on, lol.

I was just posting my experience with the gi, if yours isn't shrinking that's good for you, cause with an A4 if it shrinks at all you're fucked.

Nice. For some reason I thought I remembered you saying you had a black Platinum.

I have two blue Platinums. I took the patches off very easily with a stitch remover I got at the supermarket for $2.

The Platinum only shrinks if you put it in the dryer. Otherwise, it doesn't shrink.

I am 6'4", 205, and the A4 fits me like it was custom made. Except the pants could be longer and less baggy in the rear. But the jacket is spot on. I also have a Pearl. But the Platinum is preferable for all around use. I train and compete in it.

The picture with the pen in it is the closest one I have. What did you have in mind?

nice review i have had mine for about 3 years now. only thing i don't like about it is that the pants while indestructable are very stiff, even still. i don't think mine has knee pads either must be a newer gi update kinda thing, that would be nice. it's a great gi it's just that everything thats good about it is what is wrong with it lol, heavy hot and sturdy. i'm either getting the ssf gi or a vulkan soon

I've now rolled in this gi about a dozen times and I should post an update on how I feel about it.

I LOVE the gi top. It's extremely comfortable and I haven't been collar choked since wearing it. The pants are just OK in my book (I think the Kikskin pants are the best I've worn). They are also a little short on me but I expected that somewhat since I'm 6'5". The waist on the pants is still right on and I definitely don't regret not buying the A5.

If you're looking to add a gi to your gear list, then get this one.

How thick is this thing?

On the gameness website, the description leads one to believe it's a summer weave type of cut, but OP says it's thicker than all the gi's he has (maybe he only buys summer weaves?)

how thick is it in comparison to an atama gold weave

I don't own an Atama gold weave but I've rolled with people who have them. It's about the same in my opinion if not a little thicker.

About the Gameness website, were you reading the description for the Pearl?
