I do not know where you live but it must be nice not having to worry about defending yourself. I myself grew up near east Los Angeles and have seen and been involved in all kinds of violence.

As a former Cop have come across crime scenes where a victims have been beaten to death by multiple attackers because they had no means of defending themselves. I have dealt and investigated every type of incident where people have become vicitms of crime because they had no means of protecting themselves or their family.

I strongly believe that people should have the right to carry guns but thanks to liberal asses like you they can't. Since most states allow citizens to carry knives then thats what they should do. Knives should only be used in life threatning situations and most people that carry knives realize this.

So by saying that people that carry knives are pathetic is wrong. You probably never ever seen a violent act in your life other than whats in the movies and you probably never been in a serious fight in your life. So keep your comments to yourself until you know what you are talking about!

I used to carry big knives but now I have a smaller knife and I love it.
I wanted something different so I went with the Spyderco Lava:

One of my hobbies is to collect switchblades. This is my favorite but I don't like to carry it everyday because it is illegal to carry. Texas will allow you to have a collection but everyday carry is not OK.
One of my favorite knives is my Schrade SMEDB Switchblade:

The funny thing is the majority of you are never going to need to use it, and if by some chance you do use it it will be completely unecessary and you will end up fatally wounding some drunk guy who was just looking for a fist fight.

i usually have my hunting knife on my (its the standard USMC issue one, but 1 size down (1 inch shorter) black covered steel/titanium carbon composite.

friends laugh sometimes. but its been handy those few times you need a good laugh, then they're greatful. plus i went hunting / tracking for a while so it was necessary.

i don't carry it on me if i'm just going to the shops, only if i have a bag with me, don't think you can carry it on your person

I use my knife all the time...for opening mail, boxes, cutting cord, sometimes food, etc. generally, knives are tools first, weapons second.
