Well nothing.....I guess things are a little different here in Canada...but in all honesty guys. I have never thought to bring anything out for self defence.

Just a little weird that people actually think to bring weapons on a night out.

Running shoes, cellphone, empty wallet, no jewelry, non-flashy non-metrosexual clothing.
Think about where you're going before you carry weapons - are you allowed to carry weapons into a bar or parties? Are you really going to dance with a weapon in your pocket? God forbid, are you really going to DRINK with a weapon on your person? Can you explain (and get away with) having a weapon if a policemen searches you? These are things I think about when I go out, especially since I live in Texas - alcohol, guns, trigger happy policemen.

I don't go places where fights are likely to start. Bars are too expensive (and too crowded 'round me) for getting sauced up. I'd rather buy a bottle of rum or some beers and chill with friends. I'm also the type who'll just let insults roll off my shoulders or hand over my wallet when it comes down to it. I'll gladly pay $50 or less to avoid getting stabbed, shot or beat up by a few people. And if it really comes down to it, I know how to fight and I've got fast feet.
