Throw away wallet...they try and mug me I throw it at them they take it and I get away...or I have a nice little spike on my keychain that works.

How many of you have actually been in a fight with weapons? (Not counting any cops out there)

Failing that, how many times have you been mugged/beaten up?

Just out of interest.....

pepper spray is actually a pretty good idea. sometimes common sense or your feet are not enough. there's some messed up people out there. a small can of pepper spray is easy to carry around and conceal.

Depends where I go...

If it is just a club then I usually don't bring anything but my brain and friends.

I do want to get a collapsible baton for safety though

Stay out of those situations then.
When I used to work evening shift downtown (I'd be heading home on the last train every night, going through very rough neighborhoods), I always carried a knife. I'd tuck the knife on the inside of my jacket's sleeve. I could pull the blade out and have it ready to go in under a second, and no one would see me reach for anything.

Thankfully I never needed to pull it out or use it, but the point is, anyone who knows how to use a weapon, is going to seriously hurt or kill any H2H practitioner.

To answer the OP's question, on a night out, usually I'm with a group of people, and considering the places I go, and the people I know, I have no need to carry a weapon these days. Not to mention, most of the fights that go down around here are drunken brawls - hardly a dangerous situation...
