PepperSpray has worked for me and i continue to carry it with me.

I used to think oc spray was a good defense tool to carry, I even gave it to my sister and my ex to carry. However now that I am trained in its use and have been sprayed I would not recommend it to anyone. I now carry a glock model 22 or 27 depending (and yes I know XDs are better)

i don't carry anything, but then again i don't go to those places (bars with guidos, ghettos, etc.) anymore. used to carry a 4 inch blade back in highschool, but gave that up when i went to college and haven't brought that habit back.

Should have put my knife thread here instead of OT. This might become my new home.

I have an assortment of blades I carry, 75 % of which are for utility, work, outdoors ( hunting/fishing ) I have only one thats based for self defense in the WORD of non-anything else this knife can be used for: Thats a Defender I, punch dagger ( See " Platoon " and Tom Berringer for knife illiterate )

If I go out, even though I am big, but I have bad wheels and don't like to wrestle with these younger faster types now-a-days, so I slip a beaver tailed sap into my back pocket. I own an ASP too, but it mostly stays in my truck.

No CCW in the state of Illinois, but I do own a variety of handguns that could fit the bill to be concealed and carried. I just don't do it based on the way I drink.

What few keys I carry are ringed on a Kubatan, that I took a class a long time ago to learn how-to use, so I am a Master Hero at it... not really but it looks cool.
