I would have pulled guard. j/k.

So let me get this straight, you wanted to start a fight with a guy who had a knife?

EDITED:
if i was you, since i would be in the heat of it, i would have took his backpack and waved it in his face like a bully and point at him with my finger, while i do a little dance around him

yeah, this was back when I was more immature,
and for those of you that think that an Aikido person is gonna be all peaceful and
not fight back, Your missing the point,

Ultimtely you want to be able to make that guy who is trying to kill you, your friend,
but there are different levels we can handle.
at a lower level like myself, I may have to assassinate the threat.

Aikido philosophy is something I bring into my MMA.
without it just doing MMA is like teaching a kid how to kick butt without the when, why, consequences,
responsibility, etc.

well like I said I was immature, young and dumb,
ready to fight anyone anywhere and anytime.

It also seems like to become a true warrior one needs to have experienced that kind of thing before they
become more mature and what not.

at least I've been through the fire, I've been through hell and I survived and I'm still training.
