Ordering my next gun online, need help!
So handguns are really back ordered where i live so i was thinking about getting one mailed to a store from the interweb. First off i would like an opinion on if this is a good idea, and whether anyone has ever done it.
I would also like any extra knowledge on,
Taurus 24/7 Pro Stainless Steel Compact, 40 S&W, 15 Rd
Springfield XD 40, 3 inch, 2 Tone, 12rd Mags
or another suggestion. Ive also heard glocks are uncomfortable, and i would prefer a 40 cal,

Get the GLOCK G23.
You will not get a handgun mailed to your home unless you're an FLL holder. You can buy the gun online, but it will have to be shipped to a gun shop. You will have to pay a fee at the gun shop to have the gun transfered to you.

Yes...if you run into a problem - you would've ran into it buying from a dealer in-person. I've never had a gripe (which is good because theres stuff out there that I would likely never stumble across locally).

Depends on the place, but usually $25 to $35.

I would say go with Glock or Xd for a quality gun. I have the Glock 17 and love it. Put over 4000 rounds through it with no jams.

+1 on the G23 for 40cal
What is your defense round, or which weight/brand do you recomend for G23?
It seems like for 40cal the speer gold dot 155 and federal HST are running the show but I havent looked into it enough to know if they offer a definitive advantage over a speer gold dot 124 gr +P.
Ive been going back and forth in my head if im gonna trade my G19 for the G23 but not sure its worth it. The shit ive seen with the speer gold dot 124 gr. +P in the G19 makes it seem like a remarkable round and very adequete for SD. It seems NYPD and Portland PD and even LAPD are using it but maybe I got the wrong info. Still, the G23 is very appealing its just you lose 2 rds to the G19 so Im not sure its worth it.
Do you ever wish you had a G19 or are you perfectly happy with that G23? Maybe its just me with the grass is greener syndrome.

I'm an HK fan myself, but my wife has a Glock and it shoots great. I don't consider it uncomfortable at all.
