Is it legal to buy a 44. magnum pistol like an Anaconda?

Because I heard its illegal, and I would like to get one someday just for the hell of it.

Maybe illegal depending on what country you live in, but it's not illegal in the US.

Oh alright I guess I was mistaken. That's pretty sick how much do they cost on average? I would want one for protection and to take out into the desert and shoot watermelons and shit.

I believe they are legal all through the US. Now carrying them on your person is a whole other deal.
Hey - if you want to see another big expensive gun - check out a Desert Eagle. I love those things.

I would recommend starting with something other than a .44 mag. That is a hell of a lot of weapon for a beginner. A .44 mag has enough energy to put down a fucking grizzly bear.

I would recommend getting a .357 mag. If you get the right revolver you can shoot .357 mag for power and .38 special for practice.

I think you'd learn some awful shooting habits if you fired nothing but a .44 mag.

Solid advice here. a .44 mag can run you a big chunk of change as well. You can also look into a .44 long colt maybe?

If you've never owned or shot a gun, look at .22's. Also, there is no such thing as a .44 long colt - you're likely referring to the .45 long colt.
