Good holsters

Looking for some reviews for some gun holsters. I like to carry IWB holsters and just wanted to get some more insight.

Comp-Tac

I went with the Spartan. I got it about 2 weeks ago. I highly recomend you get the moleskin option for 4 dollars. The hide is a bit rough on my skin so ill have to track down some moleskin. The rig is fucking awesome.

I had a crossbreed supertuck before this one but it got lost/stolen in move. It was pretty freakin sweet too. However, I like the spartan better.

Spartan was 60 bucks or something plus shipping, I think I paid around 70 altogether but could be off 5 bucks or so.

Concealability is great. Comfort walking/moving about is great. BUT, I hate riding in cars or siting in chairs with it at my usual 3-4 oclock position. I guess you could adjust the position to make that part better. My Spartan comes with a little allan wrench that you can use to adjust the retention to exactly how you like it. Covers the entire trigger area and length of gun. Nice company.

Those are the 2 I have been looking at. Leaning with the crossbreed since it has the lifetime warranty. As far as concealability is concerned, are the crossbreed and MTAC/CTAC holsters about the same?? And what are you carrying in yours?

Barut: After some googling just wanted to ask your opinion. How comfortable and how concealable is it? I have a Don Hume with the clip but it just isn't comfortable and it doesn't keep my gun close to my body.

My brother has the milt sparks VM2 and it is nice, but noway am I waiting 6 months to get that. Thanks for the suggestions, I hate being such a cheap SOB I have to research something over and over again before I go and get it.

I can only compare the crossbreed supertuck and the comp-tac spartan. I went with the spartan over the mtac cause I didnt like the double leather fold on the mtac (because it looks bulkier) and it was a bit more.

The spartan conceals almost exactly like the crossbreed supertuck. There is no edge in this department for either holster and there really is no difference as far as printing goes. I like the belt clips on the spartan better. The supertuck I had I had to cut out a patch of leather cause the pistol was harder to draw without the notch I cut out. Now, crossbreed supertucks come with the option of them to cut the notch for you. They call it the gunfighter package or something and then charge you 10 more bucks or whatever.

The spartan comes ready to rock. It doesnt have the life warranty (only 2 years) but I think I like it a tad bit better. I feel its a better design but they are close. I give the spartan 9/10 and supertuck 8/10. I dont like IWB holsters, would prefer to carry OWB but then you trade comfort for concealability.

You can try either with a return free if you dont like it. I would chose the spartan again but you really couldnt miss with either.

Check out HBE Specialty Leatherworks. Custom made holsters, reasonable price, and good turnaround. I carry a full-size 1911 in an IWB and love it.

Big fan of my Kramer IWB- FBI tilt, comfy, came fast, price was good, holds snugly.

Blackhawk SERPA. I carry my Springfield xd. It works great in cross-draw. standard on the belt, and in a shoulder.
