Escrima in Vegas:

Hey fellas,

I got a buddy who wants to get into Escrima but I don't want to direct him to one of those watered-down schools where they only spar in body armor. If anyone knows of where there's real Dog Brothers-type Escrima gatherings in Vegas let me know.

Just a suggestion, he may also want to check for a hardcore JKD school where they teach Filipino stick/knife.

Is he particular about "escrima?" Does he want to learn a specific style, or will any of the practical Filipino-based martial arts do?

I'm sure any of the practical Filipino-based Arts will do. And if we can't find an already established "Gathering" I'm sure there'll be at least one other maniac in one of the "padded stick" classes who'd want to start one.
