I've been interested in checking out Escrima for quite some time. Do you know of any good, reputable schools in the Cleveland, Ohio area? Preferably east-side?

Escrima would be good for Cops. Other than that I'm not a big fan.

Panatukan basics are the precursor to modern boxing but most of its techniques are considered "dirty boxing". Eskrima also contains dumog which is filipino wrestling. It contains many locks, breaks, takedowns, and submissions.
Eskrima IMO is the most complete martial art. If you need any help finding a school, a specific system, or questions I can help out.
yes i second that comment about eskcrima being most complete martial art i started JKD 2 years ago and when i went to 1st class i dident relealise that the class was half JKD then half escrima. Some of the weapon stuff is amazing i love the filipimo hand to hand stuff ( as demonstrated by matt damon in final bourne film)

I've been training in modern arnis for about 4 years, 2-3 times a week. What most people dont understand is that the techniques they use with the sticks are the same as with the knife or empty hand(there are little mild differences). That it why I'm such a fan of FMA's, its a very versitile system.

Along with that there is also Yaw-Yan or Panatukan (Filipino kickboxing) and Dumog(Filipino grapplilng).
