emerson wave

I've had been carrying an emerson wave for the past 4 years and today a sheriff told me that the wave feature is illegal to leave your house with in california. Has anybody heard this, is the wave now illegal in california...

Local ordinances may also prohibit their use. Very complicated question every time a new "technology" surfaces. It also depends on the officer that's standing there at the time, and the user's attitude and behavior of course. Caveat emptor, caveat... user. Great tools though.

there's a ton of good reasons to carry a waved folder. there isn't anything cited that i can see that would indicate its illegal.
