Does anyone know when this comes out? What's going on with the hr 45 gun bill and the assault weapons ban? Does it come out before these?

What's going on is that Magpul screwed up and gave Bushmaster control of the Masada (renamed ACR by Bushmaster). It should have been out by now, but Bushmaster is screwing around trying to enter it into the race to replace the M4's/M16's. This always happens and Colt always wins the contract.

So, as to when it'll actually be released to the general public? No one knows.

Looks like a dandy!

Id take it in 6.8 spc

5.56 is for jackrabbits, ya it kills humans, but the military ought to fully adopt the 6.8.

As for the asault weapon ban, I doubt its gonna happen within the next year and thought I saw that they werent gonna touch it again.

That'll never happen (well, not anytime in the near future), due to the number of military weapons chambered for 5.56 and NATO.

I'd bet all my money that the military will never replace the 5.56 for assault rifles for at least another 20 years. Probably more. There are just too many weapons in service, and too many companies making their firearms chambered in 5.56

Besides, the 5.56 round is a great round. I love it, and although there may be some better ammo out there (there is), the 5.56 is a fantastic round.

Accuracy is final. Although bigtime former shooters and operators I respect like Paul Howe have admitted there are certain things about the round they don't like, but they still use it.
