you can be all awesome with trix or you can be good with them for real use.
try hitting it against various objects, tree, bag, and learn how to go with the rebound.

I have two pairs, have been playing around with them for years, find they're quite a nice way to warm up my wrists prior to heavy bag work.

been chucking for a few years now and that has NEVER happened. i figured that it was an "only happens in a movie thing," but i guess you proved me wrong O_o
ps. to anyone would wants to learn, stick with wood. stay away from all that foam, rubber, acrylic, and plastic crystal crap. and go with the chain. the rope cord with stretch over time and might throw you off alittle when switching to chain.

I don't know man, I racked my nuts, I hit my head, I've banged myself up pretty good.
it's part of the training.
different chucks have different lengths, even if it stretches, I think that is a good thing,
forces you to adapt.
the chain escrima style ones have worked real well for me.
good distance between the chain and they are light.

I had a pair of 14" Japanese Redwood nunchucks. I used to use them to warm up and co-ordination. They were eventually confiscated and destroyed by the police. I know how to use them, well. Never felt the urge to use them, they cant do anything that a baseball bat cant.
