Not at all.

Although Pride fights are not scored by the round, if they were I would struggle to even give Ricco a tie in any round.

If you look at it statistically, in each round Nog goes for more subs. Ricco scores the TD and stays on top a lot (which is why I think a lot of people think he won the fight). The fact of the matter is that Nog went for more subs and he was closer with them than the ones which Ricco attempted.

undet the 'effort to finish the fight' criterion Nog wins and so the rest of the criterion are mute.

Anybody who dissagrees should watch this fight with pen and a pad and make a note of the amount of attempts to finish the fight by each fighter and how effective each of the attempts was.

You are stupid.

That fight is a classic. Either Ken or Don would deserve the decision. It was one of the most intense wars I've ever seen in MMA.

Am i the only one who thought Ken Shamrock got screwed in this fight? it was total bullshit, he had the ankle lock for like 70% of the fight, PRIDE decisions favor the fighter who is trying to finish, Ken was trying to finish through the whole fight, this has got to be the worst decision in MMA history.

Honrable menstions

Nog vs Ricco
Randy vs Rizzo I
Hammil vs Bisping

I agree with others neither have been the same since , and it has been admitted by Frye he was on some heavy painkillers that fight .

Coleman vs Rizzo was the worst decision ever in the history of MMA.

Still a very close fight and I was very disappointed at the time but its even more of a shame now because of what happened to Shamrock in the fights that followed.
Disregarding the general stupidity of this post for a second...this fight was in Pride, so what was to stop Ken from gettng up and stamping on Frye's face? I'm sure if he could have, he would have.

I've seen much worse decisions. Ricco vs. Nog is definitely up there.
