The World Amateur Pankration Championships will be held Sunday Aug 20th at the University of San Diego, 5998 Alacla Park, San Diego, CA 92110-2492.
Amateur Pankration Rules allow body strikes, takedowns and submissions. Divisions for Adults in 3 skill levels at 9 weight classes, plus some of the best youth and teen MMA'ers around. We will also try to add an executive division for 36 yrs and over.
Safety is number one but our format makes for great matches and action.

Over 90 Competitors have already pre-registered and we are expect 150 to 200 Pankartion fighters of all ages, sizes and abilities. Most divisions will be double elimintation with a consulation bracket for 3rd place.
Last minute registrations and weigh in's will be held on Sat Aug 19th ( Double Tree Hotel, Hotel Circle) and Sunday Aug 20th 7:30 - 8:30 am (at USD) More info on

The World Amateur Games will feature 4 Wrestling Mats of PANKRATION, 3 Rings of Olympic Taekwondo and and 3 rings of Karate.
The Pankration will start at 9:30 am after a rules demo.
Stay for the ISWA Submission Wrestling World Cup at 3:00 PM
See the 1st ever Submission Wrestling Team Dual. 8 Elite teams will go at it in dual format which makes each match as exciting as a final.
Team line ups will include Top Ranked Pro MMA fighters, Former NCAA Champions and ADCC Champions.
