Why is Affliction Banned?

I'm sorry maybe I missed something but I've been curious about why Affliction was banned from the UFC and even more so after GSP's comments last night concerning why he didn't have any sponsers on his shorts. Anyone know what the reason is?

Oh damn I thought they were banned prior to forming the new promotion and that was partly the reason for creating a new org. was becuase they had been banned from the UFC. Gotta read from better sources, my bad that makes sense. Thanks.

Doesn't / Didn't they sponser Chuck? I'd be a little surprised that Dana actually did something to make Chuck angry.

This is the right answer. Affliction started their own fight promotion, so they are no longer just a sponsor, they're a rival. As such, no advertising for them any more than UFC would allow fighters wear an EliteXC shirt into the ring.

Nice, don't forget the Jnco Jeans (the clothes with the different color stitching) of the 00's as well.

Is it banned on for the fighters, because I swear I saw at least 1 of the corner guys for GSP wearing the white GSP sig. Affliction shirt.
