Will Aoki help Strikeforce edge closer to the UFC??
So, Shinya Aoki spoke at Strikeforce's weight-ins and it seems like he'll be fighting for them early 2010.
We know that Strikeforce has some sort of fighter exchange deal with DREAM, so the possibility of having Aoki fight for the division's LW belt is very possible!
The guy is probably the hottest Japanese fighter since Sakuraba and there's all the fan hype and discussion about who would win in a BJ Penn vs. Shinya Aoki fight.
Strikeforce has Fedor, the best HW and top P4P fighter in the world. If they sign Aoki, No.2 LW in the world, that has to put them in the right track to start threatening the UFC.

even with Aoki, it will still be 70-30 in the UFC's favor.

As it is... Yes, definitely.
But if they have Fedor, Mousasi, Shields and Oaki holding their belts, it's only a matter of time before they start housing a solid roster of top fighters.

I'm not sure tears will help.
His most recent crying fit: Not wanting to fight on NYE if he's the undercard to Masato.

Four very credible champs. MMA is growing huge and soon there will be enough prospects to go around. I think SF is headed in the right direction but still has a long way to go.

What a tool. Masato has earned it. He hasn't.

All that big talk of fighting Joe Daddy and BJ and he's gonna go to Strikeforce? I don't know man. What LW's does Strikeforce have? Do they even have a LW div? AJokey maybe i think.

And a cage. Gilbert might as well forget about the title. Aoki is going to destroy him. Sub rd1. Same for Thompson.
