It warms my heart to see Babalu getting the credit he deserves in this thread. When I saw it was 7 pages I was figuring there was some heated debate going on.

Just reiterating the point, but yes Babalu's ground game is that good. Babalu has always been one of my favorite fighters.

Babalu by far. Brazilian National Wreslter. Elite BJJ player. It's not a contest. Mousasi can throw though.

I would like to see Mousasi winning by triangle to prove a point. BJJ elitists have not get over his victory against Jacaré.

Why would BJJ elitists care?
Babalu is a freestyle wrestler by history, a very well versed Luta Livre fighter who has only just attained his BJJ black belt.
Out of his three core ground styles, BJJ is his least accomplished and least experienced.
If anything, the wrestling and Luta Livre marks would be the ones rooting for him.
Don;t pretend people are picking Bablu because of a freak upkick that actually landed on Jacare. People are picking Babalu because he's got, and you'll like this, a better ground game.

Babalu is far better on the ground. It goes without saying, however, that Jacare is better than Babalu on the ground and we all know how Jacare-Mousasi turned out.
