Jacare didn't even attempt to grapple, he instead got control and stood up. The second time it didn't work out too well.
You can't really say that proves anything about Mousasi's grappling, other than Jacare could take him down.

Again: Doesn't Mousasi train Sambo, not BJJ?

Oh for real. Well still it's cool when these two fight. It's bound to happen.

This. But I would still take Gegard in the fight.

That's what I thought. I assumed in a submission match who would win. I still say Maia is better on the ground, but that's obviously not an insult to Mousasi.

Are you serious,Maia is a WORLD CLASS bjj competitor and wins regularly at ADCC and has submitted people like Gabriel Gonzaga, Gregard's BJJ is above average...but Maia's BJJ is (imo) top 5 or 10 in the world (well after Marcello Garcia of course)

haha no. Moussasi has decent BJJ for people that like to stand. And he's got great striking for grapplers.

Standing, Mousasi destroys Maia.
On the ground, Maia destroys Mousasi.
Their stand up and ground games are worlds apart from each other.
You can't really compare Maia's to anybody else's jujitsu except for Jacare's, Roger Gracie, Xande or Shaolin.
