yes, he's korean. i think he has a greco background, and he has a chin that rivals mark hunt's.

he had a bunch of fights in pride, and was undefeated until he fought real competition in kharitonov. is he really good at anything? i wouldn't say so, decent subs maybe, not good striking (though he just ko'ed gary goodridge), however both are good enough to beat people who don't really know what they're doing. his chin gives him a big advantage when people decide to slug it out with him, they will either punch themselves out (like soa palelei did) or they will get caught before he does.

he's a badass for his celebrations alone though.

I don't think that his chin rivals Mark Hunt. Everything else is dead on.

He just signed with Spirit MC. It really might lead to a fight with Denis Kang. Gotta love Asia: weight classes shmeight classes.

Every time his name comes up on this forum I like to say how every time I see him he is standing outside of a Spirit MC event alone and smoking. That is so unbelievably absurd in Korea bc famous people have no expectation of privacy whatsoever. Nobody even comes within 10 feet of him. I placed in one of his tournaments so I always give him the deep bow and he always looks at me with utter distain. Funny shit.

this is true, but it's damn good. maybe closer to fujita's in that he'll get rocked and maybe even on rare occasions dropped, but nobody will put him out.

He's Korean. I seen a couple of his fights on my old Pride dvd's. They were usually the "bonus" fights. And yes, his chin is SOLID. He took a beating in one of the fights, most of the punches landing right on the chin hard, but then towards the end of the fight took his opponent down and subbed him. That is unfortunately his best attribute as a fighter though, along with decent wrestling ability.

and lolz, it seems like choi mu bae has a good sense of humor and it's funny to imagine him looking at you with "utter disdain". and choi mu bae vs. kang would be a hilariously awesome fight if it didn't mean kang had to skip an opportunity to fight an actual opponent.
