The thing is in CS you can be a great wrestler or judoka and that will be enough for you. In CS throw is more valueble than striking. In CS if you give your back away you are 10 or 20 secs away from losing a massive point lead, or concede a throw for example no good for you either.

Most of Fedor fights in CS ended up in TKO stoppage and thats what made him unuque in this sport. I guess Ivanov outsmarted Fedor and beat him technicaly.

Another thing different from MMA is olympic time limit.

But because there aren't many strikers in CS is the reason you don't see many of them on big stage. Apart from Matushenko and Sergei, and maybe Andrei since he started with sambo aswell.

I believe it's the other way around. I think Aleks has beat him by the throw, but Fedor usually beats him on the ground. I don't think Fedor has ever been sub'd by Aleks. I could be wrong though.
