Thing is, the ref seemed to be getting the better of him... I think on any given day Datsik could win or lose to a paperboy and win or lose to a sabretooth tiger.

Datsik has been arrested last year in St Petersburg for series of armed robberies along with other 30 gang members. He got caught red handed when he tried to sell bulk of mobile phones that has been taken after one of the robberies.
After that M-1 publicly stated that Viacheslav "Ginger Tarsan" Datsik is not associated with them.

I understand, that did look pretty damn gay, but I don't care, I like the guy (Van Damme), his (former) stardom messed him up pretty bad (with drugs and shit) but he started with nothing (he was born where I was born) and he realized his dream, and that's something I respect.
Wow fuck that sounds gay too though, well I like the guy and that was my point.

I remember reading a while back that buddy has some sort of mental/psych disorder.
Or he could just be an ass!
Love that "fight" with the ref where the ref pushs the kid away and than goes after the guy! funny as hell
and than the AA fight...proof positive...always keep your hands up!

Man, what Van Damme achieved in life is undeniable, as a bodybuilder, film personality and (at least in demonstrations) as a martial artist. I will watch Bloodsport and Lionheart every time they are on TBS until the day I die.
But for any MMA event I go to or watch on TV... I hope he stayed home and bought the PPV.

Did you see the kid go flying like whiffleball when the ref threw him? Somehow I think the NSAC was not the sanctioning body for that fight.
