the TRUTH about Choi Hong Man's status

TRUTH about Hong Man Choi and CSAC's LIES!What could of been the fight of the year between HongManstein and Brock Lesnar, (2 of the possibly the most physically strongest fighters in the world) has turned into a disgraced BS lies and fraudulent coverup by CSAC who are telling "nothing but LIES"of not granting HMC a license/medical clearance to fight. And it's pathetic to the thousands of fans who bought tickets just so they can see this MONSTROUS main event.

Hong Man Choi - Truth About Tumour
Date submitted: 29 May 2007
Author: english.donga.com

The tumor in the head of Choi Hong Man, (26) nicknamed the “Techno Goliath,” has sparked a controversy. Choi was supposed to fight Brock Lesnar (30, USA), a WWE wrestler–turned-K1 fighter at the K-1: Dynamite USA championship that was due to be held at the Los Angeles Coliseum on June 2. However, Choi was denied a license for medical reasons by the California Athletic Commission after it found a tumor in his head. They also found blood stains on it.

Choi is strongly protesting against the move. Jeong Yeon-soo, the CEO of the Korean branch office of FEG, the organizer of K-1, said, “He knew about the tumor. It’s not that big. Most giants have this disease. It wasn’t a problem when he fought in Korea or Japan.”

Jeong said, “The MRI test on Choi Hong Man didn’t go well. There was no MRI equipment that fit the size of his head, so he had to do an external MRI. The low definition of the image caused the blood stains to appear.”

He went on to say that when he had an MRI scan at two other hospitals in California, the results came out fine. Nonetheless, the California Athletic Commission did not look at them.

Jeong said, “Lesnar had medical check-ups from hospitals not designated by the California Athletic Commission and passed his physical. So not accepting Choi’s is discrimination.” He said that he might file suit or seek all measures necessary to overturn the decision.

“The Fight Network,” a web site about all fight sports, wrote on May 28 that instead of Choi, Kim Min Soo (32), a silver medalist in Judo in the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, was granted approval to fight

also add to the fact that Lesnar's new opponent out of the blue is Min Soo Kim ....Min Soo Kim just barely found out he was going to replace the KingKongHong-Man, probably hasn't been training, and will have to deal with jetlag as he arrives in L.A. on Tuesday. He will probably get in 3 days of light training.
WTF!!

Fight of the year, as if! This would never have beaten Trigg vs Lawler, or Diaz vs Gomi.

well, a tumor is quite a big deal... but I can see how the CSAC would want to ruin the greatest fight in the history of MMA.

HMC's condition is one which isn't always benign. Further tests are needed to determine this for sure, and K-1 waited until the last moment to submit his medicals, not allowing time for such testing. This is why his license was denied.

They didnt really submit his medicals. The CSAC required that they be done in California and that was at least partly to blame for the lateness. When else could they have been done? Also, the CSAC must have known prior to the medical that a tumour would be found (as its usually the cause of that condition apparently) and he would be denied on those grounds.
Id like to see a satement from the CSAC.

I tend to lean on the side of the CSAC when you consider FEG bummled around with the license to hold the event in the first place. I've been saying it for a month on here, this show is cursed and will fail big time. I'd be surprise if we ever hear from K-1 Hero's on American soil ever again.
