You have to acknowledge that at some point. Quit trying to act like your knowledge is superior to others and acknowledge how it went down. I'm not saying Robbie didn't have a strategy, but dude did have his eyes closed and his head down. I can see where people are coming from.
Check the replay of it. Lawler looks up as he throws the punch then follows up with a second hook that misses before Melvin is already on his way down.

His eyes appear to be closed, but whether they are or not makes no difference as the only view he had would have been his own feet. Hence, like a true keyboard warrior with a couple of lessons under their belt, you insinuate Melvin should find a new career because he doesn't have what it takes to be a pro-fighter, as what you have said is exactly what happened.

Like I've said, perhaps you'd do better watching the fight instead of trying to teach people about how pros can punch mits without looking. You might not appear to be as stupid that way.
There's definitely a keyboard warrior here, but I'm afraid its not me. Anyone who's trained knows that even with a tucked in chin you look up from under your eyebrows and use peripheral vision. You're just making yourself sound like a novice ...

Well, I am assuming that is where he got it.

Whatever bro. If you can look at your own feet while bent over at near 90% and still see the jaw of a man standing up just inches away from you, then you obviously look just as retarded as you sound.

You'll find that when someone starts throwing around insults instead of addressing the argument, it almost always means they know that their argument has huge holes in it which they're trying to cover up by changing the focus.

Look, go watch some of Joe Frazier's fights. See how ridiculously bent over he sometimes threw from (far more so than Lawler). Note that he had a very good hit rate from there, enough to be considered one of the top 20 greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. Ask yourself is it really possible that he was 'lucky' that consistently?

It wasn't so much pure luck as desperation. He ducked his head, didn't look at his target, threw a crazy overhand and caught him. If you watch the replay, Lawler himself even looks a little surprised before he jumps on him.
