Fair enough, although I'm still expecting a clear win by Fedor. But all in all, Werdum looked greatly improved in his last fight, and since Overeem is busy doing god knows what, this is the best fight they can make for Fedor.

He fought some Brazilan guy 3 times. I forget his name, but he had a twin brother who was actually smaller than him. They kept talking about how good he was at BJJ. I guess he was pretty good.

Sure it does. Werdum is a top notch heavyweight. He is up there with the top contenders in the UFC. He has as good a chance as anyone to pull off a victory.

Although the Werdum matchup makes sense, I think the original poster is getting at the idea that Werdum offers little resistance to prevent Fedor from pummeling him while in his guard just as he did against Big Nog twice... Nog= pretty significant BJJ as well... Again it makes sense but still likely a Fedor domination as usual.

ahhhh and there in lies the rub eh?
You all bitch and moan that the UFC contracts are too restrictive, but here it is. I prime example of WHY NOT TO GIVE YOUR FIGHTERS FREE REIGN.
Overeem is off doing his own thing. Which is whatever the hell he wants to do because he can. And defending the SF heavy weight title is obviously not high on his priority list. So now you have a champion whos AWOL. A fucking CHAMPION...it's pathetic.
Enjoy the Werdum fight, its the only one left for Fedor, after that, he's gonna be fighting dumb fights of HMC quality.
