So where is M-1 in all of this?

Is anyone else going to cringe when they see or hear the announcement, "Strikeforce in conjunction with M-1"?

What the hell has M-1 done so far to promote this fight aside from Fecal Stain having the rights to Fedor. It wasn't M-1 who was able to get that deal with CBS and now they are about to have half the profits of the event by basically doing nothing.

"Promoting world wide MMA" my ass.

I'm excited for this event but seeing that damn logo on the mat will raise my blood pressure. Anyone else feel the same way?

But M-1 are encouraging the growth of MMA worldwide. We just don't know it yet.

LOL shows how much you know.

It's been well documented that the deal with CBS was made mostly because Strikeforce used Fedor as a selling point. Meaning that if Strikeforce didn't copromote with M-1 they wouldn't be on CBS.

Also, how do you know they are doing nothing as you claim? For all you know they might be doing most of the work.

They are currently suing Affliction and some "unnamed John Does" (ie, UFC).

Co-promoting with M-1 = get sued

Strikeforce was great while it lasted... co-promoting with M-1 Global is like the kiss of death. Just ask BodogFIGHT and Affliction. I'm going to be sad to see Strikeforce leave the MMA world.

"Promoting world wide MMA" - while systematically shutting down all fight organizations NOT named UFC.

I love how people think M-1 Global is going to remove the "monopolistic" hold the UFC has on MMA in America, and yet, M-1 Global does the exact opposite by strengthening the UFC's monopoly because they financially ruin the last couple fight organizations they've come in contact with.

You can't ask a fledgeling fight organization pay $1Million+ per fight for Fedor when the fight organization itself only makes $500k on ticket sales and PPV sales (in this case, no PPV, just TV ratings).

Unfortunately, organizations like Strikeforce and Affliction are so deperate to be taken seriously in MMA that when Fedor comes around, they can't help but agree to the rediculous deal that M-1 Global throws at them just so they can be considered relevant and mainstream for a little while.

I guess that's what "promoting world wide MMA" is really about.
