On second thought, I hate Tito, so this is a great idea. 5 weeks later he will be the "Huntington Beach Homeless Boy".

Tito doesn't have enough cash to buy the IFL. The company's about $40 million in the hole; its creditors own the company at this point and there's no way they'd sell to a guy worth a few million.

I think you need to lay off the reefer.

How could they stop him?

Creditors don't have any say over who can buy the shares of a publicly traded company. Hell, even broke-ass SOB's like you or me can go out and buy IFL stock.

The real trick would be prying away the shares that are not available on any public exchanges, namely those shares held by the officers, management and employees (mostly the coaches) of the company. I have a feeling there are plenty of folks with major stakes in the company who would be happy to get ANYTHING at this point in time.

Tito probably has enough money socked away to buy 51% outright, and even if he doesn't, his girlfriend most definitely does. Of course, the real issue is why the fuck would he WANT to buy the IFL. He'd be better off starting a new company with no debt and using it as an promotional gimmick for Punishment Athletics. Why in the blue hell would he pay money to acquire a company that is riddled with debt problems?

I like that idea. I hadn't even really thought of that. But I did think of this one....

...the IFL should have more gyms(teams) from around the world compete. I dropped the IFL a few e-mails (into their general inbox, so who knows where it ends up) in the past few weeks requesting they offer the Red Devil team a few spots. I don't know too many other established fight camps to suggest, but i'm sure they are all over the world. If you know who they are, drop IFL an e-mail and let them know who you want to see.

All it is going to take to "save" the IFL really would be genuine fan support.

Tito would not be able to run himself but adding input and working for the league is not a bad idea.

Come on, we all know that Dana and the UFC never paid Tito anything. He doesn't have any money, he took all those fights for free.

Maybe Jenna could loan him the money.

It's interesting to note that the UFC lost 44 million+ before it finally turned around - (1) show did that for them. Sure the rules that Dana changed in 2000/2001 laid the groundwork, but we all know that without TUF on Spike the UFC might be further in debt than the IFL.

It took 1 show. You never know...

this could be good for the IFL, if they use him purely as a figurehead, but the minute he starts making strategic decisions it will be bad news for everyone.
