Watching that fight broke my heart; he look old. That kick should have knock him out, the fucking ref let him get hit like 10 time too many IMO.

I dunno man the whole yanking Saku from the ropes and then rocking him hard with those punches seemed pretty brutal to me.
I didn't mind seeing it myself. I'll probably catch a lot of shit but Sakuraba has never been one of my favorite fighters. I didn't mind the " Marvelous " ownage.

I felt like I was going to cry watching that. I am a fan of both fighters but watching an older Saku getting torn apart made me sad.

The ref must have been instructed to give Saku every possible chance to make a recovery and pull off a miracle in this type of situation. It was a little sad to see saku take that beating but i knew right away that he wasnt going to recover from that head kick even if it was partially blocked.

It was brutal, but expected. Anyone that thought otherwise was being a fool. How would Saku possibly win that fight? He got schooled by a green fighter in his last bout, and would have lost if he didn't eek out a gimme sub on the noob. It was clear as day that Manhoef was going to KHTFO.
I wish japan had an athletic commision, so someone would stop granting him authorization to fight. He has brain damage already, and is going to have an aneurysm shortly if he doesn't stop. Can't he get a fucking clue from Metzger? Or Troy Aikman? Concussions and brain damage mean it's time to hang 'em up. Can't he teach, or be a commentator, or something. For fucks sake people, do you actually want to see him die?
