Met Brock Larson the other day

I was at the EFX KO show in Maplewood, Minnesota, and Brock Larson was the referee for the second half of the fights.

I caught him for a few seconds after the fights and he said he has a specific strategy that he thinks will work perfectly to beat Condit. He was getting out of there though, so he didn't go into detail, but he looked HUGE for 170.

And it was a good night of fights, Marcus Levessuer continued to impress with a cut stoppage, and this muay thai fighter, Nat McIntyre, threw a sick armbar on some guy.

Funniest part of the night was a guy got caught by a straight right -- it was hard, but it didn't rock him or anything -- and he turned around, and ran, flailing his arms in the air ala Matt Hughes yelling that he quit. Absolute hilarity.

Anyway, I know there was another Sherdogger there, he was sitting a few rows in front of me with a Sherdog hat and shirt on...

I can picture that. The straight right sometimes doesn't look particularly brutal, but dislocates a jaw or ruptures capillaries so bad that it's excruciating.

Sorry, I know it's a bit off topic, but as you explained, it sounds funny as hell...just wanted to point out that he probably had a good medical reason to not want to fight any more.

I didn't pass judgement at first either, but he was up and peppy after the fight like nothing was wrong, that's what I found so funny about it. He showed no ill-effects of a serious injury.

Either way, good night of fights.
