What do you think about Randleman suplexing Fedor?

I know that every fighter wants to win and does whatever he can to win. But I think Kevin went to far. If you watch it in slow motion you can see that the north to south suplex was not an accident. You can see Kevin purposefully rotating Fedor in the air and driving him head down.

I wonder how would he felt if he won the fight by breaking Fedor's neck and making a young talanted man a "disabled vet". When I was a kid I was doing judo. And we had a teenager becomming paralyzed after an unsuccessful head first landing. I think anyone who has been thrown in wrestling-like sport knows how serious this can be.

I'm not saying this because Fedor is my favorite fighter. I'd hate for example to see Randy or anyone else in that situation.

Fedor is frequently asked about this incident. His coach said he almost had a heart attack when he saw the suplex. Fedor said that the suplex didn't really have any serioud impact on him. But then I've read rumors that Fedor had two ribs broken after that. Fedor also said that he had numerous opportunities to suplex someone north to south but he never had any desire to do this.

So what do you think? Do you think Kevin's move was unethical? Do you think suplexes like that must be prohibited in MMA? I think we all need to care about health of any MMA fighter.

It was awesome.

It was dangerous though.

What did the rules say about it?

You are probably a sadist. You probably do not understand that watching people fight in movies and real life is not the same. Unlike in movies, people do get hurt in MMA fights.

Unfortunately, the rules allow this. I think this need to be changed.

Yeah. Pride doesn't care if a fighter dies. They just want to please the fans.

Yeah that slam could of easily left him paralyzed, but lets just be glad he didn't suffer any injuries from it.

I think it happened in 2004... but luckily he wasn't injured. I'm glad nobody ever got seriously hurt in pride with 205 lb guys fighting monsters like giant Silva.

Randleman temporarily paralyzed Coleman with the same slam during a training session.
