Icon14 PRESS RELEASE / World Pro Fighting

Saturday, August 26th, 2006 / Las Vegas - As often as you might have seen it on TV or in a movie, there is nothing that prepares you for that first sight of Las Vegas, the most dynamic, spectacular city on earth. The skyline is hyper reality, a mélange of the Statue of Liberty, a giant Lion, a Pyramid, the Eiffel tower, and preternaturally glittering buildings. At night, it's so bright you can actually get disoriented, it’s the city of WORLD PRO FIGHTING!

WEF Media, in association with Guilty Boxing Inc., will present the first World Pro Fighting event (www.wpfight.com) to be held at the ‘Orleans Arena’ in Las Vegas, NV. September 15th 2006. This will be the 3rd MMA event presented by WEF Media & Guilty in the last 5 months, and the launch of WPF's international MMA competition series, to be held bimonthly in Las Vegas.

The World Pro Fighting event was created to feature the finest international MMA competitors and talents, in a sport that has exploded internationally. The September event will showcase fighters from Japan, Holland, Mexico, Australia, Germany, UK and the USA.

Italian Bad Boy and star of HBO's "OZ" Chuck Zito, will be the celebrity guest commentator for this event. Mr. Zito, known as the "bodyguard to the stars" has appeared in 3 of UFC's Pay-per-views and has strong ties and involvement in Martial Arts and the MMA world.

The event will also showcase winners of the WPF “Ring Girl contest” (www.yourmatv.com), who will be guests of the Rio Hotel and Casino for the weekend.

WPF will be donating $1.00 for every ticket sold to The Mark Wahlberg Youth Foundation, for inner city kids. http://www.markwahlbergyouthfoundation.com

Complete Lineup:
Hirotaka Yokoi (Japan) VS Andre Fyeet (Holland)
Stefan Struve (Holland) VS Bryan Schall (USA)
Evert Fyeet (Holland) VS Marcus Sursa (USA)
Milco Voorn (Holland) VS Fujiyama (Japan)
Damacio Page (New Mexico) VS Danny Batten (UK)
Gina Carano (USA) VS Rosi Sexton (UK)
Angelo Altuna (USA) VS Albert Rios (USA)
Furdjel De Windt (Holland) VS Mike French (USA)
Andre Balschmieter (Germany) VS Kyle Noke (Australia)

Hirotaka Yokoi (Japan) VS Andre Fyeet (Holland)
Hirotaka Yokoi of Pride who last year, lost to Pride's Heavyweight champ at that time, Antonio Rodrigo Nogeira, put up an incredible fight, and will be taking on Andre Fyeet from Holland. Andre is from the stable of MMA legend Bob Schreiber. This will be a slug-fest. It will be the first time that both fighters appear in the Las Vegas spotlights and these gentlemen are eager to show the MMA fans what this sport is about. Yokoi's background comes from Judo, though he has cross-trained in a myriad of martial arts (even Sumo!). Fyeet is an X-ray assistant in the Amsterdam Academic Hospital but he will take care of Yokoi in a whole other way than his patients.

Stefan Struve (Holland) VS Bryan Schall (USA)
Young Stefan Struve (18 years) proved his skills when he defeated in a very professional way on of the local Las Vegas heroes, Marcus Sursa in June this year. With over 7’ feet his nickname became ‘SKYSCRAPER’ but it also could have been ÓCTOPUS’, the way he defeated Sursa by a triangle with his long legs. Schall is one of America’s newest and most exciting fighters. He is a fighter who loves to strike and has a habit of ending fights suddenly. So keep your eyes focused on this one!

Evert Fyeet (Holland) VS Marcus Sursa (USA)
One of Las Vegas favorites, Marcus Sursa, will face his second Dutch opponent this year. June 10th he fought Stefan Struve but lost by triangle after a great start of the match. Sursa who seems to be an angry young man in the cage, came in with a great shoot and started to use all sort of different techniques but his 18 year old opponent remained calm and took over. Let’s see what Sursa can do now or will he be run over by clog’s again? Fyeet, who’s fastest knock out was 9 seconds(!) is ready to battle this local Gladiator. What an interesting evening this will be!

Milco Voorn (Holland) VS Fujiyama (Japan)
Voorn, whose nickname is THE PREDATOR, normally drives an 18 wheeler and when that one’s rolling it’s hard to stop. Voorn’s favorite style is to fight in a Russian cage without any rules, where head buts and other unorthodox techniques are allowed! His Japanese opponent Fujiyama, who comes from the same gym as the very talented and famous Daisuke Nakamura, has a background in Judo and started training MMA after seeing a few shows on TV. Two heavyweights who have the same motto: The Strongest survives!

Damacio Page (New Mexico) VS Danny Batten (UK)
Mexican / Irish, international fighting star, Damacio Page from Albuquerque N.M. will battle UK's "Cage Rage" champ Danny Batten. Damacio fights out of Jacksons Gym (home of top UFC fighters) and has appeared on several great events. Page is one of the strongest in his weight class, so this won't be an easy one for the Cage Rage Champion form the UK who prefers the artistry of submissions; it’s a lot more skilful and more sport orientated, Batten says.

Gina Carano (USA) VS Rosi Sexton (UK)
Las Vegas' Gina Carano, a 2 time Muay Thai Champion and one of the1st two women to compete in MMA in Nevada will fight Rosi Sexton, UK's Cage Warriors Women’s Champ, who is considered the top UK female in her weight class. This will be the 2nd female MMA bout held in Nevada. Gina fought and beat Leitica Pestova in the 1st round of the 1st female MMA bout on June 10th. Rosi Sexton, who holds a PHD in Mathematics will calculate what her chances will be versus Las Vegas finest.

Angelo Altuna (USA) VS Albert Rios (USA)
Angelo Altuna representing the camp of Muay Thai World Champion, Kit Cope will face Albert Rios from Los Angeles who won his last three fights by decision. Let’s sit back and enjoy these two light weight gladiators battling each other!

Furdjel De Windt (Holland) VS Mike French (USA)
Furdjel "Badboy" De Windt of Holland who knocked out 18 opponents in his MMA career and will face aggressive MMA contender, Mike French of the USA representing Koba Kai gym. "Bad boy" De Windt holds several titles, including Dutch Jujitsu Champ, 4 x's Dutch Free Fight Champ, and Benelux Free Fight Champ and is very eager to proof the American MMA fans why he is a true champion. French KO’d the undefeated Roc Castricone earlier this year! From the mount position he trapped Castricone in a triangle choke and literally choked him out. This will be one of the ‘toppings’ of the evening.

Andre Balschmieter (Germany) VS Kyle Noke (Australia)
This German fighter holds an impressive record of 24 fights and has a background of Wing Tzun and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With his 23 years, Balschmieter owns his own, successful, gym in Kassel, Germany and is very exited that he can represent Germany at this event. His opponent from ‘down-under’ holds several titles like; Grapplers Quest Intermediate Welterweight / Warriors Realm Welterweight and XFC Australian Welterweight title and we will see if he can proof his nickname: Kyle “KO” Noke.

This event will be broadcast to cell phones and handheld wireless devices around the world for FREE!!!. The event can also be seen via Internet world wide on www.MATchannel.com for a fee of $15.00, in English and Spanish.

The event will also be presented on delayed TV Video On Demand by “TVN Entertainment”, the largest US company providing VOD content., during the month of November.
