No, just naturally heavier and "attempting" to compete in 135 regularly according to her MMANews.com interview. The Sexton weight debacle was just that, but I doubt that'll ever happen again(and it hasn't and it was an isolated incident, unlike a previous poster would have you believe) since..
That may very well be the case, but it still remains to be seen whether she actually can make 135, since she hasn't done it yet, and (apparently) the closest she got was when she failed by 4lbs. Giving her the benefit of the doubt, if she made a serious attempt to make the weight for that fight then 4lbs is a LOT to miss by. It may be that the only sensible thing for her to do is to move up to 145.

No doubt we'll find out when she next fights.

Nice work. I hope they come true, those are great! Did Miguel Itturatte book these. Cuz if he did, wow! imagine what he'd do with more top male fighters entering Bodog! (ex. Masvidal vs. the debuting Yves)

I will completely agree w/ you if she somehow blows weight and is 0 - 2 at making 135, but if she doesn't I hope you're prepared to conversely nix the issue, unlike MainStream who will never concede and will mostly likely say something like - "She finally made weight; add another chapter to the year of upsets!" (despite only failing to make weight once).

BTW, Since the upcoming title fight just got even more important with the fights you mentioned, what do you think about D'Auguste' chance at upsetting LaRosa?

Fair enough, lets wait and see...

My point isn't just that she's failed to make weight though, it's that she's claiming to be a 135 fighter when she hasn't yet fought at that weight. If she starts making 135 consistently for her fights THEN I'll consider her a 135 fighter.

I'd guess Larosa takes it, but I'm not betting my life savings on it. If it was a three rounder, I'd say she wins by decision, but five rounds, I dunno.... that's a long way to go the distance at the pace these women go at. Cardio is going to be a major factor. Either way, it's gonna be one hell of a fight.

How the hell does BoDog get their hands on someone deep underground like Jessica Aguilar but not Vanessa Porto or Cyborg? Where's Goro Hida on this?

There's a thread on FeMMA in the Heavyweights forum right now and the level of ignorance in the replies is just appalling.

The problem is that Vanessa was dealing with Bodog and changed managers just as the deal was getting close to get done, so she basicly pissed everyone at Bodog and it´s very unlikely that she will be going there.

Cyborg unfortunetly can´t make 135.
