Just a heads up in case anyone hasn't heard yet, Cristiane Cyborg will be fighting Jen Case on the March 21st ShoXC card.
Both fighters are with EXC now. Both are in the same weightclass and walk around at 160. Both are undefeated and used to straight up plowing through their opponents. I smell a superfight coming up. Probably gonna be on the first CBS show right below Kimbo.
Cris Cyborg represents the chute box academy and she is the best female fighter in Brazil. I think Gary Shaw may have fucked up here by bringing her in, because she has potential to do to 'the face of female mma' what Anderson Silva did to 'american hero' Rich Franklin.
She is fighting march 21 exc show on the main card against Jen Case. If I were into betting I would put my money on Cris Cyborg by murder.

As a fan of ALL MMA, well, i guess that says it. So long as they are evenly matched (or whatever, they overmatch people all the time, see:Mir v. Lesnar) and they don't be sissies, i'm down. There is nothing more depressing than seeing some who is there to fight decimating someone who doesn't even want to be there (see:Kimbo v. Cantrell). Women may not be as big or muscular, or technically sound in some aspects of the sport, but it is early on in the sport of womens combat sports. Women only recently, in the last 10 years or so?, really got INTO boxing. Compare it to the early days of the UFC, when it was "style v. style", except these women already know that they need balanced skill sets, striking, grappling, and submissions, to be successful. So these women come from a specific background and proceed to train in the other techniques as well from there. It might be sloppy at first, but it'll get better. As far as people not wanting to see women fight, I guess that is your disfunction to deal with. I have too many of my own to deal with. But I don't think there is any big difference between men and women fighting. If 2 evenly matched skilled combatants want to try and prove they are the best among their peers, and if they want to entertain me doing it, well that is just the bees knees. I could certainly use the entertainment, because I work a shit ton.
